Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Must be Included in Anti-Discrimination Law

In a letter to the Prime Minister of Macedonia Civil Rights Defenders call on the Macedonian government to withdraw the current Anti-discrimination bill, which does not include protection against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

The proposal does not follow European and international human rights standards, which can have negative effects on the country’s ambition to start membership negotiations with the European Union as soon as possible.
