The Emergency Fund – When the Situation Escalates

Our Emergency Fund provide rapid support to human rights defenders when the situation escalates and someone is in acute danger. The Emergency Fund can, for example, provide legal aid or temporarily relocate people. We also work preventively with security trainings and help with physical and digital security solutions.

In 2020, 730 human rights defenders from 34 countries received emergency support.
