Monitoring Human Rights and Representing Victims in Courts

Together with Youth Initiative for Human Rights, we work to increase awareness on human rights concerns in Montenegro. We do so by monitoring crucial human rights issues and reacting on serious human rights violations. We also assist and represent victims of human rights violations before the court.

A report on human rights in Montenegro will be published as a result of our joint activities. During the year we plan to conduct advocacy and lobbying activities in relation to human rights abuses and adoption of transitional laws, such as the Law against discrimination and the Law on free legal aid.

Youth Initiative for Human Rights is one of the leading human rights NGOs in the Western Balkans. The branch office in Montenegro was opened in 2005.
