As part of our efforts to increase respect for human rights in local communities in the region, Civil Rights Defenders has supported the production of four country-based researches that evaluate which rights and groups have been mostly affected by the pandemic-induced States of Emergencies:
- The right to information during natural disaster in Albania 2020, by Dorian Matlija, ResPublica Albania
- Right to movement, hate speech and the pandemic in Bosnia and Herzegovina, by Snježana Ivandić-Ninković and Dajana Čelebić, Association for Democratic Initiatives in BiH
- Striking a balance: human rights v. combating Covid-19 in Kosovo, by Njomza Haxhibeqiri and Tringe Sokoli
- Report on the position of Roma men and women during the Covid 19 pandemic in Serbia, by Milena Reljić and Marina Simeunović
On March 30, the authors of these reports had the opportunity to present their findings and engage in discussions. The online event was held on web-conferencing platform, KUDO.
