Blowing the Whistle Against Corruption

In collaboration with the Organisation for Democracy, Anticorruption and Dignity – ÇOHU! Civil Rights Defenders provide a tool for preventing cases that contain features of corruption or organized crime from being closed because of passing the deadline set in the law.

In Kosovo, the situation regarding corruption is very problematic and present at every level of the society. The problems are undermining the democratisation process and creating a serious lack of rule of law as the most worrying consequences.

To combat corruption, we provide a tool for preventing cases that contain features of corruption or organized crime from being closed because of passing the deadline set in the law. In collaboration with our long-term partner, the Organisation for Democracy, Anticorruption and Dignity – ÇOHU!, we offer a mechanism for continuous monitoring and whistle blowing on attempts to ignore prosecution of corruption and cases of organized crime.

As we see it, there is a clear need for civil society to be present in this process, so that it is not only driven from international actors, with no base amongst local actors and citizens.
