Investigating Limitations of Freedom of Expression With UNEM

Baring in mind that freedom of expression and information in the media is an essential requirement of democracy, we will cooperate with our partners from UNEM to produce a report on limitations of freedom of expression in Montenegro.

The report will be based on the “Indicators for media in a democracy” developed by Council of Europe and presented in the Resolution 1636 (2008). The report is to serve both local and international practitioners, about the status of the media sector in Montenegro today.

UNEM is a long-term partner of Civil Rights Defenders and they are involved in monitoring the freedom of expression, informing interested parties and lobbying for of the legislation regulating the work of the media.
