Fundraising Policy

Civil Rights Defenders’ fundraising is conducted with respect for the individual donor. All fundraising must be conducted in an ethical, honest and transparent way.

Civil Rights Defenders (802011-1442) has Swedish 90-accounts and is working according to guidelines from the Swedish Fundraising Control (Svensk Insamlingskontroll). They review Swedish based NGO’s with the requirement that no more than 25 per cent of total revenue goes to fundraising costs and administration.

We are also a member of the Swedish Fundraising Association (Giva Sverige) which advocates ethical and professional fundraising and works for increased giving in Sweden by improving the conditions for fundraising in a trustworthy way.
