Legal advice

Civil Rights Defenders offer free legal advice, primarily in matters related to discrimination. Our aim is to help you understand and assert your rights – whether you are seeking concrete legal guidance or need help finding the right authority or organisation to turn to.

How we can support you

We offer free legal advice to individuals who believe they have been subjected to discrimination. Our services are primarily available to those living in Stockholm.

You can contact us for advice, support, or information about your rights and how to proceed if you have experienced discrimination.

Do you live outside Stockholm? There are 18 anti-discrimination bureaus across Sweden that you can turn to. Find their contact details here.

What happens next?

After you have contacted us, we will assess your case and in what ways we may help you. Keep in mind that we have limited resources to take on your case and that we might be unable to provide help other than by explaining the legal situation and referring you to other actors.
