Register Now: 3rd Regional Journalists’ Days

On 26-28 October, Civil Rights Defenders will be organising the third Regional Journalists’ Days. The event will be held in an online format and participants are encouraged to register here.

Since 2019 Journalist Days’ has focused on the challenges to media freedoms and literacy in the Western Balkans, Turkey, Central & Eastern Europe, bringing together journalists, media professionals, policymakers and human rights activists.

Following an opening address by Civil Rights Defenders Director for Europe, Goran Miletic, the first panel will discuss “How Covid-19 changed journalism in the region.”

The second panel will look at the challenges to “Breaking investigative stories through authoritarian lines,” featuring journalists that have contributed to some the most explosive investigative reporting this year: the Pegasus Project and the Pandora Papers. The event will close with a panel discussion focusing on the impact AI is having on the digital media space.

The full agenda be found downloaded here.

Due to epidemiological circumstances, the event will be held via online multilingual platform, KUDO. Live translations will be available in English, BCMS, Macedonian, Albanian and Turkish.
